Renowned Panmure Liberum economist Simon French makes the bull case for UK equities
Description
#SimonFrench #Times #PanmureLiberum #Economics #UKEquities #investorsummit Simon French, Chief Economist at Panmure Liberum, is well known for his incisive data-driven commentary on UK equities and the economy. He takes a moderate ‘cup half full’ approach, which is perhaps why he has also been a guest Economics columnist at The Times for over a decade. He tells things as he sees them, and when he joined us at the inaugural Investor Summit as our opening Keynote speaker, he came to make the bull case for the UK equities market. Simon believes the UK economy is doing moderately well when compared with G7 peers and is performing mainly in the middle of the pack, dragged down by a few major systemic outliers, such as energy pricing. To see more of what he thought we are good at in the UK, and how policy and regulations could be changed to improve the lot of both professional and retail investors in the UK markets, please view Donald Leggatt’s interview with Simon here.
